The geographical coordinates of all 'Fixed' speed monitoring systems and many officially designated 'Accident Hotspots' have been stored on a database.

is the one I bought, along with the radar add-on, very pleased with it,
however the running costs are very high, costing ?99 for 2.5 years of
database updates.
Well
a camera was removed near me, it it was over 12 months before it stopped
warning me about it, so the updates are not all that fast, but its never
failed to detect any camera. Database updates are done through the internet
connecting up to a PC with a serial port connection, USB adaptors are
available should you require them. When registering the unit you have a
choice of subscription packages. Either monthly by Direct Debit receiving 6
months FREE and then paying only ?4.95 a month or a one-off up-front payment
of just ?99.95 for 30 months of downloads, saving ?20!
